School Involvement

Research shows that the arts have the potential to have positive, long-lasting effects on students in secondary and post-secondary education!

According to a study commissioned by the National Endowment for the Arts in 2012, students involved in the arts are 5 times less likely to drop out, 3 times more likely to WIN AN AWARD for school attendance, and 4 times more likely to be recognized for ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT. Students with 4 years of art education also score better on standardized tests, and are 4 times more likely to participate in a math or science fair.

Advanced Education Achievement

A similar study revealed that low-income students who are engaged in the arts are twice as likely to GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE as their peers with no arts education.

Workplace Success

A follow-up study showed a 10% increase in GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT for students who were involved in the arts during their secondary and post-secondary education, and 72%  of employers say CREATIVITY is the number one skill they’re looking for when hiring.
